Mumford & Sons get to number one in Ireland
It's taken them half-a-year, but they've finally made it!
Mumford & Sons’ love affair with Ireland has stepped up another gear!
After 28 weeks on the chart, their Sigh No More album has jumped three places to replace Justin Bieber at number one.
They’re interviewed in the current issue of Hot Press, as are MGMT whose somewhat controversial Congratulations debuts at number five.
The week’s other highest new entries are Plan B’s Northern Soul-tastic The Defamation Of Strickland Banks at number nine; Scouting For Girls’ Everybody Wants To Be On TV at 11; and indie chart-toppers’ She & Him’s Volume 2 at 29.
Over on the singles chart, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé are hanging on to number one with 'Telephone' while the highest new entry at seven is Selena Gomez & The Scene's 'Naturally'.
