Morrissey snubs Bowie at his Manchester gig
The Manchurian vegan leaves Bowie out of a tribute to fallen artists
Morrissey has received criticism for omitting David Bowie from a tribute to artists and stars who have passed away.
The snub happens at his show in the Manchester Arena, August 20.
Morrissey listed the figures as an into to his song 'The Best Ones Are All Dead'. In response to the perceived slant a member of the audience declared the former Smiths front man to be a "Cunt".
Morrissey and Bowie have had a famously rocky relationship dating back to an incident in 1995 when Bowie refused to pose for a picture with Morrissey, who had to settle for a picture with Rick Ashley. Neither men able to see eye to eye after this incident.
During the same show the earnest singer declared himself to be 'The Mayor of Manchester'.
