Metarie

A reworking of the track from Benson’s brilliant sophomore LP, Lapalco, ‘Metarie’ finds the Detroit man in rather mellow form compared to the likes of ‘Folk Singer’ or ‘Tiny Spark’, but is nonetheless impressive for it. Benson has a knack for seemingly plucking a killer hook out of thin air and launching it at the listener when they least expect it.
