Meat Puppets announce first Irish gig
Following on from their first US tour since their split in 2002, Meat Puppets have confirmed their debut Irish show for Whelan's in December
In 1980, brothers Cris and Curt Kirkwood from Phoenix, Arizona formed the Meat Puppets, whose sound can be called a fusion of punk with psychedelic rock and American country music.
Though their first albums were released independently, the group was well-known for its underground hits. In the early 90s, they opened for Nirvana on their In Utero tour.
In 2007, the band released their latest album,Rise to Your Knees.
