Machine Head and Apocalyptica dates announced
There’s good news for heavy metal fans, who may have been feeling a bit neglected of late, with two behemoths of the genre en route to Dublin's Ambassador.
First up on November 18 are Machine Head, the Californian quartet who’ve been picking up awards galore with their current opus, The Blackening.
They’re followed on December 15 by Finnish cello and drum merchants Apocalyptica who started life playing orchestral covers of Metallica songs, but now concentrate on their own symphonic metal epics.
Tickets for the respective gigs are €30 and €25.
There won’t be too many other chances to enjoy the Northside venue, with Dublin City Councillors voting to re-locate the main city library there in March 2008.
