Previous N.M.E. Single of the Week winners Dutch band The Nightblooms’ spacey and psychedelic ‘Love Is Gone’ couldn’t be more of a contrast to Rosa Mota’s claustrophobic mayhem. Seems like a lot of hallucinogens are needed to play and listen to this kind of aerial and ethereal bombardment and the waif-like vocals only contribute to the overall hazy lightness of the melodies. As vague as The Hague, to quote my mother-in-law.
