Loaded

I like The Revs, great pop sensibility, but we’ve a problem here. “Recorded, mixed and engineered in 18 hours” boasts the press release but why is that a good thing? The title track would have benefited from a little more work since its Brian Wilson-esque hook is sublime. ’25 Years Too Late’ is more straightforward and thus works better while ‘Satellites’ is a heavier offering than usual that again proves Rory Gallagher’s considerable writing and vocal skills. Very good, but could be great.
