LISTEN: Motörhead cover the Rolling Stones + Lemmy: The Movie a big hit in Laois
Mr. Kilmister's former bandmate Stacia Blake presided over the recent Dunamaise Arts Centre fundraiser
The mighty Motörhead are previewing five of the tracks from their new album, Bad Magic. We're pleased to report that the rock 'n' roll noise Lemmy & Co. are making is as fearsome as ever. The band's 22nd studio outing climaxes with an ace cover of the Stones' 'Sympathy For The Devil'.
Meanwhile, a wonderful night was had by all recently at the Dunamaise Arts Centre in Portlaoise where Mr. Kilmister's former Hawkwind bandmate Stacia Blake hosted a fundraising screening of Lemmy: The Movie.
There was a Q+A beforehand with documentary-maker Wes Orshoski who revealed that he'd love to work with U2. If they cop an eyeful of his latest film, The Damned: Don't You Wish We Were Dead?, he might just get his wish.
Bikers from different chapters were in attendance, along with lots of musicians such as Vendetta Love singer Shawn Nameste who was taught art by Stacia in Stradbally when he was 10-years-old.
Ace snapper Gerry Doyle took this portrait of Ms. B introducing the event, which showcased the great work being done locally by the Dunamaise team.
