LISTEN: DJ Shadow baffles South Beach
Check out his now legendary (albeit brief) 'All Basses Covered' set.
Back in December, Endtroducing star DJ Shadow brought his 'All Basses Covered' set to Miami, incorporating everything from electronica and hardcore rap together under one unique umbrella in a manner only he can. Unfortunately, he was in a monumentally lame club that decided to kick him off after 20 minutes for not playing "songs that people know".
Afterwards, Shadow, aka Josh Davis, tweeted: "I don't care if I get kicked out of every rich kid club on the planet. I will never sacrifice my integrity as a DJ...ever #AllBassesCovered".
Luckily, the brief but brilliant set was captured for posterity, and you can stream it in its underrated entirety below. Needless to say, it's well worth a listen.
