Lindsey Buckingham's stalker arrested
Michelle Dick, who attacked Buckingham on March 25, has been arrested and charged with six felonies, including battery and assault.
Fleetwood Mac's lead guitarist and co-vocalist Lindsey Buckingham's stalker has been arrested.
Michelle Dick, who attacked Buckingham on March 25, has been arrested and charged with six felonies, including battery and assault.
She has pleaded guilty to stalking Buckingham and another victim. All charges relate to offences to have occurred between October 2021 and March 2026.
The charges include two felony counts of threatening to commit a crime with intent to terrorise, one count of assault with a deadly weapon that's not a firearm, one count of vandalism, and one misdemeanour count of battery, according to Los Angeles County court records.
The arrest comes after 76-year-old musician was attacked by Dick, who ambushed him while walking into a building on March 25. She doused the musician with an unknown substance before fleeing. He was not injured in the incident.
According to a 2024 temporary restraining order petition and lawsuit against his stalker on behalf of Buckingham's family, the singer has alleged that Dick "harbours delusions," including a belief that she is his daughter and that the musician hurt her as a child.
The musician also accused her of showing up at his family's homes, taping picture collages of herself and Buckingham to his family's mailboxes. The woman also appeared at one of his concerts, making threats.
Reportedly, in November 2024, Dick called the police to falsely report that she had heard gunshots inside Buckingham's home. She also said that the musician's son was "suicidal," according to Rolling Stone.
The singer described the incident as "the straw that broke the camel's back," according to the restraining order petition.
Bail for Dick has been set at $300,000 (€256,000), Rolling Stone reported, citing court documents.
Last year, Buckingham and his former Fleetwood Mac bandmate Stevie Nicks reissued their 1973 album Buckingham Nicks, marking the first time the LP was made public since its original release.
In July, the duo hinted at a reunion, with Nicks revealing that the pair were now back on "talking terms".
