Amble announces second album Love And All Its Wares with new single 'Last Rites'

Folk trio Amble have announced their second album, Love And All Its Wares, due for release on January 29 2027.

The announcement comes with new single 'Last Rites', following the release of June's single 'The Swell'. It was produced by Philip Weinrobe, who also worked with the likes of Adrianne Lenker of Big Thief, Tomberlin, and Theo Katzman.

The album was recorded in a three-week session at Grouse Lodge Recording Studios in Westmeath in April. It moves further away from the live-in-rooms approach of 2025's Reverie and, according to the group, "pairs love and idealism with the exhaustion of constant touring."

"'Last Rites' is about finding your true self in the chaos of life," says Amble.

"When the internal voice in your head and the external voices around you are pulling in different directions, retaining a true version of yourself becomes increasingly difficult.

"However, as these periods descend into further confusion and uncertainty, there is always an inner belief that the true self will return. 'He was a good man, give it time.'

"The extended outro embodies the message of this song. It is hard to see the truth in a chaotic world, but it is there!"

The 2027 UK and Ireland dates open at Belfast's Belsonic Festival on June 23 and include Dublin's Malahide Castle on June 24, Glasgow's SWG3 Galvanisers Tard on June 29 and Limerick's Thomond Park on July 3. Manchester's Castlefield Bowl follows on July 8, with London's Alexandra Palace Park on July 9.
