Roxy Music announce For Your Pleasure expanded reissue

Roxy Music have announced a reissue of 1973's For Your Pleasure set for release on November 6, and share an as-yet-unreleased 'Grey Lagoons' demo.

With unheard studio recordings, songwriting sketches, rehearsals, outtakes, live sessions and rare unseen performances, the 2026 edition of For Your Pleasure takes listeners back to its creation and the central question of how to tackle the daunting second album.

"It was a good pressure," frontman Bryan Ferry reflected. "Realising, now there's an audience to write for. An intelligent audience.

"I felt a responsibility for the work that I hadn't for the first album, certainly with regard to the lyrics. There was a hunger in the whole band to do more: a very strong urge to get back into a recording studio and make a better record than the first one."

Released today for the first time, 'Grey Lagoons' - 1971 demo (original title: 'The Bogus Man Part 2') provides a first glimpse of the unreleased recordings.

Recorded in the summer of 1971, the demo formed part of a homemade tape that first brought Roxy Music to the attention of the music press.

It captures the band's early chemistry with Bryan Ferry's lyrics backed by the vocal harmonies of Andy Mackay and Brian Eno, Graham Simpson's bass, and Roger Bunn's guitar and sax work.
