Leinster Girl, Lucy O'Byrne, in The Voice UK final
Classical singer Lucy is set to represent Ireland in this weekend's live final.
Having wowed the judges with her performance of ‘Ebben Ne Andro Lontana’, from the opera La Wally, Dubliner Lucy O'Byrne has progressed through quarter finals and battles to earn her place in the final of this years The Voice UK.
Lucy, who now lives in London, received classical training at the Leinster School of Music and Drama under soprano, Kathryn Smith. She is the first classical singer to reach this stage of the competition and has been regularly blowing away the mentors and audiences.
The only Irish contestant left in the competition, Lucy will have some Irish company on the night as former judge Danny O'Donoghue will be performing with his band The Script.
The live final of The Voice UK will air on Saturday (April 4) at 7pm on BBC One.
