KNEECAP's Móglaí Bap and Greta Thunberg greeted by President Catherine Connolly during run for Palestine in Dublin
Greta Thunberg attended the run and KNEECAP's 3Arena gig later that night.
KNEECAP's Móglaí Bap was greeted by President Catherine Connolly outside Áras an Uachtaráin as he led a charity run for Palestine through Dublin yesterday.
Over 200 people took part in the 10km run — including Swedish activist Greta Thunberg — with funds going to the Gaza Food and Play Project, which delivers food, water and support to displaced families in Gaza.
The group ran from Dalymount Park to Áras an Uachtaráin, where they paused to applaud President Connolly as she offered words of encouragement in Irish to Móglaí Bap.
KNEECAP posted photos from the interaction on X, writing, "Was great to meet 'El Presidente' today."

The event was part of a series of 10km runs in each city of KNEECAP's November tour to raise funds for the Gaza Food and Play Project.
The campaign is run by the Beit Lahia Development Association in Gaza and Glór na Móna in Belfast, in cooperation with the ACLAÍ community gym in the West Bank.
At the time of writing, the campaign has raised over £35,000 (€40,000) for the Gaza Food and Play Project.
The Wednesday run came ahead of the second night of KNEECAP's sold-out shows at Dublin's 3Arena.
KNEECAP later posted a photo of all three band members alongside Thunberg, Palestine Solidarity Campaign director Ben Jamal and Fontaines D.C. members Conor Curley and Tom Coll.
Thunberg and Jamal also attended KNEECAP's gig at 3Arena last night. In a video posted by actor Liam Cunningham, Jamal was seen delivering a speech on stage about solidarity with Palestine.

Thunberg also visited Áras an Uachtaráin for a courtesy meeting with President Connolly on Wednesday. The meeting was reportedly facilitated by Bohemian FC, whose COO Daniel Lambert is also KNEECAP's manager.

Tonight, Bohemian FC will host An Evening of Words and Songs for Gaza at Dalymount Park where Thunberg will speak with Dr. Mohammed Abu Mughaisib, a frontline doctor who recently worked in Gaza, and Caoimhe Butterly, activist and therapist who has written about on Gaza for Hot Press.
There are set to be several musical guests who will be announced ahead of the event tonight. All proceeds will go to Grassroots Winter Aid for families in Gaza.
