Móglaí Bap to run 10K in each city of KNEECAP tour to raise funds for Palestine
The 12-stop tour kicks off today at Paris' L'Élysée Montmartre theatre.
KNEECAP's Naoise Ó Cairealláin, aka Móglaí Bap, has announced he will run 10km in each city of the band's November tour to raise funds for Palestine.
Ó Cairealláin announced the initiative in a post on Instagram, writing, "I might make some of the runs public whenever I am able, let me know if there is any city you’d be interested in running."
"Also if anyone wants to do a 10k in their own city they are very welcome," Ó Cairealláin said.
The fundraising campaign is run by the Beit Lahia Development Association in Gaza and Glór na Móna in Belfast, in cooperation with the ACLAÍ community gym in the West Bank.
Donations are received via a fundraiser page on Donorbox.
"All the money raised in this campaign goes directly to our partners in Gaza who in turn hand deliver food parcels to displaced families in Gaza," read the description on the fundraiser page.
"As part of the project, we have are also providing circus workshops to displaced children in Gaza in partnership with the Gaza Stars Circus School. Your contribution to this campaign will have a direct effect on the ground in Gaza, and we are incredibly grateful for your support."
At the time of writing, the fundraiser has received over £17,000 (€19,350) in donations, surpassing its goal of £10,000 (€11,382).
