Kian Egan announces debut solo album details
The former Westlife star will be going it alone on record shelves from St. Patrick's Day.
He spent plenty of his 2013 judging singers in The Voice Of Ireland, now, in 2014, it's time for Kian Egan himself to step up to the mic.
On March 14, Egan will release his debut solo album through Rhino. Produced by Brian Rawling (Kylie, One Direction), reports say that it will "introduce Kian's fans to some of his favourite songs."
Egan, who was last seen winning I'm A Celeb... with record numbers in December, says:
“I am incredibly excited to be recording an album with Warner Music. Music is my first love, and to be able to get in the studio to record these amazing songs by such wonderful writers is such a thrill and an honour for me.”
In June 2012, the Sligo man talked to Hot Press about the chances of him embarking on a solo career:
"I’m not one of those people who are going to be chasing every Tom, Dick and Harry for my next gig. I don’t feel I’m in a position where I have to scrape the bottom of the barrel in order to remain in the public eye, or to look for my next paycheck. That’s not what it’s about for me. I’d prefer to sit at home and jam with my boys in the garage, in the little rock band that I jam with every now and again. And just to fall back into normality. I’m quite looking forward to the idea of that, just sitting around the house."
Sounds like he's got tired of sitting around the house. Or jungle.
