Just Mustard, The Twilight Sad and Ride will support The Cure at Malahide Castle
The English rock band have added three acts to their sold out show on June 8.
The Cure have announced three special guests for their highly anticipated gig at Malahide Castle. The sold out show will be the iconic rock band's first Irish performance since their appearance at Electric Picnic in 2012.
British bands Ride and The Twilight Sad, and Dundalk group Just Mustard are now set to join The Cure as special guests on June 8. Shoegazing indie-rock pioneers Ride originally formed in 1988, and released Weather Diaries, their first new album in 21 years, in 2017. Scottish rock band The Twilight Sad's latest release, It Wont/t Be Like This All The Time, was released to critical acclaim on January 18.
Irish five-piece Just Mustard, meanwhile, made serious waves in the Irish music scene in 2018 with the release of their debut album, Wednesday. The album has been nominated for the Choice Music Prize 2019, alongside projects by Kojaque, The Academic, Delorentos, Rejjie Snow, Lisa O'Neill, O Emperor, Saint Sister, Wyvern Lingo, and Villagers.
Just Mustard had this to say about the news: "ADJHSHJADGJK???!!!"
After their Malahide Castle show, The Cure will embark on a European tour, with appearances at several major music festivals.
