A bastion of positivity while all around them were yo-ing, ho-ing and bitching, J5 amassed a huge audience with such noughts classics as Quality Control, Power In Numbers and Feedback, their last album way back in 2006.
Their long hiatus ended last year when original members Cut Chemist, Nu-Mark, Chali 2na, Akil, Zaakir and Mark 7even gave it serious socks at Coachella in the Californian desert. Among them was the man from the Los Angeles Times who noted: “Jurassic 5 provided a critical reminder of how durable hip-hop can be when done correctly.”
