Now that we have all more or less accepted that the best use to which music can be put is in the marketing of one or other corporate product, it shouldn’t really come as any great surprise that Ireland’s largest manufacturer of black stout has harnessed the talents of the redoubtable Mr. Perry to promote their product. Actually, I’d still much rather that bona fide musical legends didn’t get up to this kind of thing, particularly when their work remains as bewitching as Perry’s. ‘Jazzy Lady’ boasts the giddiest riff of the fortnight and Perry’s vocal is utterly enthralling.
