Following news of his Tower Live appearance, overnight star Jamie Lawson has announced a full headline show at Dublin's Vicar Street on Thursday May 5.

The UK singer-songwriter shot to fame when his aptly named ‘Wasn’t Expecting That’ single rocketed to #1 on iTunes following airplay from Ian Dempsey on Today FM. A rags-to-riches tale followed – with over 194,000 Youtube views to date, as well as an appearance on The Late Late Show and a packed headline slot at Whelan's in January of this year.

Tickets for the Vicar Street show, priced €18, go on sale next Wednesday March 16 from Ticketmaster.

‘Wasn’t Expecting That’ is available to download now and will feature on Lawson's forthcoming album out early this Spring.
