James McMorrow gig + album details

Debut album in the can, James McMorrow plays a Christmas show in the Dublin Sugar Club on December 13, tickets for which are €13.50.
Let’s Do This Thing was recorded in an isolated house by the sea with one microphone, a room full of beat up instruments, a small amount of engineering knowledge and McMorrow doing all the playing and production.
"It really feels like this album finally says exactly what I've always wanted to say, sounds exactly like I've always wanted to sound,” he enthuses. “I've taken a lot of interesting turns in the last two years, had some amazing experiences, made some amazing mistakes. One day I stopped, sat down, thought about what I truly wanted to be as a musician, and this album just arrived. It's indelibly me, it makes me happy, and whatever happens to it beyond that, it’s all good.”
One of Let’s Do This Thing’s standouts, ‘Follow You Down To The Red Oak Tree’, also soundtracks the new Barnardo’s TV ad campaign, which debuted here last week.
