Le Cheile 2006, in Oldcastle, is preparing for its weekend festivities which will host the cream of current Irish talent.
Underlining this fact is that this year the line-up contains no fewer than five bands who played at the Oxegen Festival at Punchestown: Republic of Loose, The Marshals, Delorentos, Director (pictured) and The Blizzards are just a fraction of the bill.
Supports include the Muse-like [LOST], the Spikes, The Immediate and Staccato.
The Monday night in the Creans looks nothing like a wind-down to the festival with myspace sensations Cowboy X (pictured) playing with Neosupervital, the Weapons Inspectors, The Cherries and Inventors of French.
The Onyx venue also has a shining line-up with Ronnie Drew on Friday, plus BP Fallon's Death Disco taking centre stage on Saturday night. BP brings some of the top new Irish bands with Sickboy, SubZero and Straglers set to rock Oldcastle before the maestro takes to the decks.
Birr's Roesy takes to the stage on Sunday night with Fiona Melady in support.
With other entertainers including comedian PJ Gallagher, Joe Rooney & The Funny Girls plus a strong theatre, arts, jazz and poetry line-up check out www.myspace.com\lecheile for more details.
