Idiot World

Bloodied but unbowed from various music industry nightmares, one time Hormone Carroll is back in fine form. ‘Idiot World’ itself is a nice enough slice of sunny indie pop but is upstaged by track two, ‘Satan, Your Kingdom Must Come Down’, a dark and knowing traditional number given a sparse acoustic treatment. With the shimmering ‘If’ rounding things off, this all bodes extremely well.
