Normally I wouldn’t give an edited version of any of my favourite art objects the time of day but as it’s the Mann herself then the exception proves the rule. “I should’ve kno-o-o-own that it was coming down to this/I should’ve kno-o-o-own that you’d betray me but without the kiss” tremors Aimee as she weaves her way in and out of the waves of undulating melody with which this track from her Whatever album (what else?) is gloriously awash. Combined with a sexily luscious emoting which all the while has a resilience as firm as Priapus encapsulated ‘I Should’ve known’ just makes you long for more and more and more.
