Hybrasil, an ensemble of musicians who double as artists in other fields, are accepting visual art submissions which will appear in lieu of a support act on their upcoming tour.
Hybrasil's July/August Irish tour, called Music & Pictures Explode, is based on the idea of music colliding with art, thrilling the audience simultaneously with sounds and images.
The support act will be part of Hybrasil's unique art and sound exhibition, and artists of all genres are encouraged to submit their work to be featured in the live show.
"The band recognise the wealth of artistic talent within Ireland and while a music artist can play anytime, anywhere, finding outlets to present visual art is not so easy," a rep said.
All mediums of visual art can be submitted for inclusion in the nationwide tour by email at [email protected] or by CD/DVD/slides to Music & Pictures Explode, 67 Greenwood Avenue, Blunden Drive, Malahide Road, Dublin 13. Make sure to include a short biography and contact details, and if you'd like, a description of the submitted work.
