Human Being
A perfect example of the Beta’s metamorphism from flawed genius to perfect oddball pop.
A perfect example of the Beta’s metamorphism from flawed genius to perfect oddball pop. ‘Human Being’ is a sensitive yet fun little ditty about those frayed nerves which can give all of us the jitters at the best of times. Steve Mason croons “We might just break/can you hear us crying” in the chorus, before a lovely accordion and horn tainted lilt not just breaks, but explodes at the three minute mark into a cacophony of Hammond blasts and frantic drumming. A great summation of the Hot Shots II renaissance.
