Hozier cracks UK singles top ten... finally

Having topped charts from Luxembourg to the Lebanon, and racked up Spotify sharing records along the way, you'd have been forgiven for thinking that 'Take Me To Church' had achieved everything possible in 2014.
Not so, it seems - but that's been rectified in the first week of the new year. The song had never reached the top ten in the UK, but now finds itself among the elite sellers of the past week. A full 23 weeks after entering the charts, the song enjoyed a significant climb to crack the top ten; helped, perhaps, by his Victoria's Secret performance which drew quite a few eyes over the festive period - some, one might speculate, new fans who were not tuned in merely for the music...
