James Morrison announces new album Fight Another Day
Fight Another Day "explores a deeply emotional territory, reflecting Morrison’s struggles and his journey through difficult times"
British singer-songwriter James Morrison has announced the release of his sixth studio album, Fight Another Day, out October 3 2025.
The title track, 'Fight Another Day', along with the new soul-blues single 'The Man Who Can’t Be Loved', are available now.
Throughout the record, Morrison reflects on the early days of his career and the struggles he experienced throughout his life.
“When I leaned into how I was feeling, that's when the songs started coming,” Morrison said.
“I started writing about what I was going through, my own struggles with myself. Every day being a bit of a battle. Trying to eke the light out after what felt like darkness for ages.”
First gaining recognition with his 2006 debut single 'You Give Me Something', the Brit winner has since carved out a career both as a performer and songwriter, having penned songs for artists like Demi Lovato, Olly Murs and Kelly Clarkson.
Beginning as a teenage busker, Morrison honed his craft through years of performing covers before turning to songwriting.
He cites Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding and Van Morrison as early influences.
Raised in a musical household, Morrison drew inspiration from his mother’s love of soul and his father’s taste for folk and country.
Fight Another Day is available for pre-order here.
