Noonzy announces first studio album Plan Is Bad

Belgian artist Noonzy will release his first full studio album, Plan Is Bad, on October 2. Four of its tracks have already been released as singles, the most recent of which is 'Talk To Me'.

The indie pop singer-songwriter has previously released two EPs: Post-it-tapes in 2022, and Puppies in 2025.

In an instagram post, Noonzy wrote that the album title is about learning to "accept uncertainty and trust the process", i.e. making peace with the fact that "the plan is bad".

These insights stem from collaborating on Plan Is Bad with British producer Bullion. A self-described control freak, Noonzy had to learn to step back.

"The biggest change was the vocal", the singer said of 'Talk To Me'. "I originally sang most of the song an octave lower, but Bullion suggested I try it an octave higher. As soon as I did, it was obvious he was right. The song suddenly felt lighter, more urgent, and somehow more emotionally direct".

"This song is about that moment when you realise something isn't quite right with someone", Noonzy revealed. "Maybe they're stuck in their own head, carrying a certain heaviness, or just not quite themselves. You can sense it, even if they haven't said anything yet. The song comes from that desire to break through the silence and get them to talk."

The album's style has been described as "experimentation within a pop format", breaking with his initial "DIY, lo-fi indie approach".

Noonzy will tour in October and November, visiting Brussels, his hometown of Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Paris.
