New limited edition book on Tom Petty's Wildflowers is on the way
Tom Petty: Wildflowers is now available for pre-order.
Wildflowers, a new book which takes a deep dive into Tom Petty's life at the time when his album of the same name was created, is set to be released - and is available to pre-order now.
According to a statement, the book "invites readers into the studio, the songwriting process, and the mind of an artist at the peak of his creative powers."
Wildflowers contains a collection of photographs, unpublished work, "handwritten lyric sheets, setlists, guitar notes, recording track sheets, and studio documentation," according to a statement.
Additionally, there are contributions form other members of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
There will only be 1,500 copies of the book worldwide and every copy will be signed by Heartbreaker members Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench.
The book is set to arrive in what would have been the year of Tom Petty's 75th birthday.
Tom Petty was the frontman in Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, a founding member of the Traveling Wilburys, successful solo artist, Grammy-winner and has a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
His album Wildflowers was released in 1994 with 15 songs, however, it was originally recorded as a double album with 25 songs, "with the unreleased tracks becoming a subject of fascination among fans," according to a statement.
