Believe it or not, Chris hasn’t become a raver or changed his style in any way. He’s still singing soppy, inoffensive, love station rock which concentrates the mind as you’re travelling up and down the supermarket aisles wondering what to buy for dinner. In ‘Here Is Your Paradise’ he warbles about finding love right under his nose and it lasting forever etc. etc., to the accompaniment of simple piano and big orchestral build-ups that activate the tear ducts. Diehard fans will love it but personally speaking, ‘Here Is Your Paradise’ makes me queasy.
