Hell Bent On You
'Hell Bent On You' isn’t an obvious single but that's all part of it’s charm.
In a world of identikit singer songwriters, thank heavens for Roesy and Yorkston and their collective realisation that there’s only so much of one bloke and his acoustic guitar you can take. 'Hell Bent On You' isn’t an obvious single but that's all part of it’s charm. Dark and just a little twisted in its view of love, Josh Johnston’s rolling piano once more provides the musical foil to Roesy’s songwriting. Yorkston, meanwhile, uses his musical cohorts to create a real sense of drama, like a balding Scottish folky Nick Cave.
