A return to action for the one-time Dove frontwoman, ‘Heartbreak Valley’ is a radio-friendly rocker that showcases a strong voice. Pleasant as it is, it’s hard to shake off the feeling that Hazel needs to up the ante a bit if she’s to escape the gossip columns of the nationals and produce something that makes the most of her talent.
