Great Escape Festival to focus on Irish talent
The Brighton showcase bash takes place next May.
Ireland has been chosen as the “spotlight country” at the 2011 Great Escape festival, which is taking place in Brighton from May 12 to 14.
The event last year attracted 15,000 people, 3,000 of whom were industry professionals there to check out the 350-plus bands playing in 34 different venues.
There’s also an accompanying Great Escape Convention, which in 2010 included a keynote talk between Nick Kent and fellow music journalist Garry Mulholland.
Super Early Bird are available now from [link]www.escapegreat.com/buyTickets[/link]
priced £35 or £80 if you want to be accredited for the convention.
