Quietly but with intent, Rival Schools have become the flavour of the month and it’s not that hard to see why. The complete antithesis of most of the world-conquering US rock of the moment, ‘Good Things’ is impassioned, focused and bears a strange resemblance to the Psychedelic Furs. Those of us yet to investigate the album would do well to make amends.
