Good Song
Turns out to be the perfect soundtrack to the last few good days of the year.
Ever the purveyors of humility and understatement, Blur are back with an ominously-titled track. Fortunately, it’s significantly less annoying and slightly sweeter than their previous work. Though Damon Albarn’s faux-woozy vocals tend to grate, on this soundbed of summery, loose-limbed beats and cute loops, the entire effect works surprisingly well, and turns out to be the perfect soundtrack to the last few good days of the year.
