Ex-A House frontman Dave Couse to release debut solo album, Genes
There's good news for A House fans as the band's former lead singer and songwriting genius Dave Couse returns with his first solo album, Genes.
Due in early April through his own Beep Beep label, the opus features 'Satisfaction', 'At The End Of The Day', 'Will It Ever Stop Raining', 'Familiar Feeling', 'I Almost Touched You', 'For Sale', 'If This Is Where Love Is', 'Self Obsessed', 'You Don't Know What Love Is', 'Everybody's Got Their Own Troubles', 'Intoxicating', 'Close Watch' and 'Peaceful'.
In the meantime, Couse has penned the following poem about life, love and music:
I used to be in A House and though I think of it frequently/I try not to dwell for too long/As I become maudlin and sometimes long for things/The way we were.
But time being time and life being life/We are given a choice in the direction we take.
I now find myself with no need of backwards/You see, this time I choose to look the other way.
The band is dead but the music and the memories are not/And it is these I plan to bring with me.

This is not an end to anything/In fact this is where life starts…all over again.
There is new music, new plans, new focus/A new air of excitement/There is new life, yes, there is indeed new life…
Move over Seamus Heaney, there's a new penslinger in town!
