Although it might not have looked like it at the time, the whole LA toilet affair was probably the best thing that could have happened to George Michael. After the splendid ‘Outside’ video comes this piece of edgy funk, not a million miles away from the style of Madonna’s recent output and easily the best thing he’s done in years.
Swathed in Daft Punk style squidgy keyboards, heavy bass and attitude-laden vocals, ‘Freeek’ (already causing much consternation for those on daytime radio) is a defiant challenge to both supporters and critics alike.

Seems like Michael has finally found that freedom he was looking for all those years ago.
