Formulae

There’s no denying that their haughty head-in-the-clouds grandeur can be wearying, and some of the extra tracks here have an unfortunate tendency towards plodding stroppiness, but ‘Formulae’ is a respectably good return. It builds up from delicate guitars and Greaney’s feminine warbling into a burst of well-scuffed guitar riffs and a robust chorus. This ‘Formulae’ works.
