Folk classics get an indie/punk/alt. makeover
Gaslight Anthem mainman Brian Fallon is among the Dublin Academy revivalists.
The Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon, Alkaline Trio’s Dan Adriano and Dave Hause of The Loved Ones fame are the special guests on September 29 when former Hot Water Music man Chuck Ragan brings The Revival Tour to the Dublin Academy.
Explaining the philosophy behind the old-style traveling folk revue, Ragan says: “The most important part is the camaraderie and the way people are drawn to each other whether they're playing a mandolin, singing, playing fiddle or there to see the show. We live and breathe this music and I think it's just a natural instinct for people who believe and live music to want to share that with other like-minded musicians.”
