First footage of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool
Reynolds cheekily confirms the film's R rating in a new April Fool's video
Marvel fans are hotly anticipating the long-awaited debut of superhero Deadpool in a feature film (ignoring his botched appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine) since its recent confirmation. We now know production is underway but there has been rampant speculation about whether the film would be a more family-friendly PG-13 or, in tune with the violent, caustic nature of the character, R. Yesterday, after apparently confirming a PG-13 on Twitter, actor Ryan Reynolds put the speculation to rest in a mock interview with Mario Lopez that also featured him in costume for the first time.
With a violent beat-down and a triumphant "Fuck you, Slater" (referencing Lopez's role on Saved By The Bell), Reynolds as Deadpool confirmed the film would be rated R, much to the delight of fans. Check out the video below!
Deadpool hits cinemas in February 2016.
