Fifteen

Ten Speed Racer are so popular on the live circuit that it really disappoints me that this single left me wanting so much more. A potentially good vocalist is really let down by his execution which sounds too much like David Byrne from Talking Heads to sit comfortably. There’s a really nice build and subtle tempo changes before it all reaches a plateau and coasts to fade. Loathe as I am to say it, Ten Speed Racer could be too cool for their own good, afraid to get off the fence, take some risks. This is definitely not the best we can expect to hear from them.
