Say what you will about these over-styled upstarts – they can certainly deliver the tunes. Greased with a generous slick of sexed-up ‘80s vigour and keyboard-electronica, it’s fairly easy to see where those Killers comparisons stemmed from. Like their indie brethren, The Bravery excel in ambitious, forceful, intricately textured anthems. The B-side is a nicely revved-up, modernised version of U2’s ‘An Cat Dubh’. Now, once Sam Endicott cans that paltry Bono impression, they’ll be laughing.
