Everywhere You Turn
Like similarly ace fellow New Yorkers, Longwave look not to their own city’s new wave heritage for the inspiration but the trench coat wearing days of eighties Britain. Based around a pulsating Joy Division/New Order style rhythm, the chiming guitars and moody vocals recall the Bunymen, Killing Joke and even a touch of early U2. Extra punk points for being on their own label too.
