Dublin rocker ALKY releases new single ‘Another Piece Of Me’

Alternative rock artist ALKY has released his latest single, 'Another Piece Of Me,' taken from his upcoming album, set to arrive in November.

Barry Reid, the creative force behind ALKY, first set foot in the music industry as an audio engineer.

In 2018, the Dublin native received an Emmy Award nomination for Best Achievement in Sound Mixing for his contribution to the animated series Pete the Cat: A Groovy New Year, with music by Elvis Costello.

More recently, his work has shifted from mixing to writing and recording his own music. Reid began releasing original songs in August 2024, starting with his debut single, 'Dirty Tricks.'

Since then, the songsmith has been sharing new music every month, ahead of the release of his 10-track record in November.

ALKY's latest track, 'Another Piece Of Me,' is described as "an up-tempo indie rock single packed with catchy guitar hooks and infectious melodies."

Taking inspiration from the likes of U2, The Smiths, and The National, the song explores themes of complex relationships and emotional distance.
