Dublin band "edit" track to 11 minutes!
They are offering the “short” version as a free download from their MySpace page.
In what may be a world first of its kind, the Dublin-based instrumental band This Is How It Ends have edited their track ‘Odysseus 31’ down from a slightly un-radio friendly 42 minutes to a mere 11 minutes! They are offering the “short” version as a free download from their MySpace page (www.myspace.com/thisishowitendsdublin) next week.
The long version of ‘Odysseus 31’ is on This Is How It Ends’s current EP, and the band were recently voted Pick of The Fortnight by Hot Press’ First Cuts column. In awarding them this much sought-after accolade, Jackie Hayden described the track as “apocalyptic” and said of them, “Their overall sound leans more towards intelligent prog rock, so the absence of a singer is more than compensated for by their unquestionable musical skills.”
