Drop

Only February and already the first great dance record of the summer looms over the horizon, courtesy of Japan’s Cornelius. An unholy trinity of acoustic guitars, laid back beats and lazy, almost Stereolab-like vocals, ‘Drop’ could easily have been turned into a no-brainer dance floor filler but all concerned – including remixers Kings Of Convenience and Herbert – resist the temptation and keep the whole thing classy.
