Doors legends come to Dublin
Doors legends Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger bring their Riders On The Storm project to Dublin’s Tripod on June 21.
Tickets priced €55 go on sale on Friday April 13.
Following Ian Astbury’s decision to reunite with The Cult, vocal duties are being handled by ex-Fuel screamer Brett Scallions a man – tee hee – who definitely knows his onions.
“We’re glad to have him,” Manzarek enthuses. “He’s a great voice and a lot of charisma. Jim Morrison can never be replaced, but this project has never been about that. It’s about giving a voice to the body of work we created with Jim in a live setting.”
In support will be the former Almighty mainman, Ricky Warwick.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of The Doors, which makes them ten years older than Hot Press!
