As is often the case with a band of such magnitude, it seems as though the Thrills backlash may be lurking around the corner. Any cynic trying to orchestrate one needn’t bother, for they are still turning out some highly impressive and original singles. Put it this way, if the Flaming Lips released this song, they would be hailed as reinventing the wheel. As it goes, we’re still talking hefty doses of sun-soaked hedonism, and as winter draws in, that can’t be a bad thing.
