Diamond Head extend Irish jaunt
Heavy metal legends Diamond Head have extended their upcoming Irish tour.
They're now visiting Ballykeefe Amphitheatre, Kilmanagh (July 20); Half Moon, Cork (21); King John’s Castle, Limerick (22); Warwick, Galway (23); Mansion House, Dublin (24); and the Rosetta Bar, Belfast (25).
Currently celebrating their 30th birthday, the NWOBHM outfit have repeatedly been cited as an influence by Metallica who covered their ‘Am I Evil?’ – cue bellowed response of “Yes, I fucking am!” – and Megadeth who invited them out on tour in 2005.
Their own supporting bill features Blue Oyster Cult offshoots X-Brothers, Boston’s We’re All Gonna Die and young Limerick thrashers Soloway.
The trek is being organised by Michael Conway, a medical doctor who’s donating all profits to leukemia research.
